President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has concluded his four-day trip to the inhabited islands of South Miladhunmadulu Atoll and returned to Malé this morning.
During the visit, the President travelled to 13 inhabited islands within the atoll, where he met with members of the local Councils and Women’s Development Committees to discuss key community concerns and the developmental aspirations of the residents.
The visit also saw the commencement of several Government-led development projects. Foundation stones were laid for fitness centres and Police posts, along with land reclamation initiatives. The President also launched projects aimed at improving schools and health centres on the islands.
The visit was part of a series of visits the President has been undertaking to meet with all island councils and visit every inhabited island in the country.
The President was accompanied by Cabinet Ministers and heads of Government agencies throughout the visit.
