His Excellency Mr Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Murshid (O.D.R.M.D), Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Saturday afternoon at the President’s Office.
President Dr Muizzu warmly welcomed Mr Al-Murshid (O.D.R.M.D) and his delegation, expressing his gratitude for their visit to the Maldives to witness the Independence Day celebrations and attend the inauguration of the new terminal at Velana International Airport. The CEO of SFD conveyed his pleasure at joining the celebrations of the opening of the Velana International Airport terminal and expressed his deep honour at being invited to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Maldivian independence.
President Dr Muizzu thanked the Saudi Fund for Development for its valuable support, particularly in relation to the airport development project. Mr Al-Murshid (O.D.R.M.D) noted that the Saudi Royal Court had closely followed the project’s progress throughout. The President and the CEO also discussed potential avenues for future cooperation, including in the housing, fisheries, and health sectors.
