Vice President Ustaz Hussain Mohamed Latheef met with visiting Neykurandhoo Council members to discuss important island development issues. The meeting, held at the President's Office this morning, provided crucial insights into the future of the island's development.

During the meeting, the council highlighted urgent issues that require immediate attention. These included initiating a project to generate revenue for the residents on a large vacant plot of land on the island, ensuring that ATM services can start quickly, addressing the need for a police station, and setting up a powerhouse away from the residential neighbourhood. The councillors also highlighted the importance of indoor sports in developing the island’s youth.

In his response, the Vice President reminded the council members of the government’s steadfast dedication to tackling the matters critical to the island's progress. To reassure the councillors, the Vice President also confirmed to oversee the concerns brought up by the council in conjunction with the relevant authorities.
